As a Division 1 collegiate athlete, did you ever doubt your athleticism?
I remember doubting myself a few times. Being a walk-on made things a bit worse. I went from not traveling to having the fastest 800-meter race time for the season. I had the best times and didn’t get anything for it. I thought you got scholarships or recognition for performance in class and on the field. Then I got injured. They couldn't tell me exactly what was wrong towards the end, but I slipped in my spikes, fell on the concrete and felt a shock up my spine.” -Haley Allen

After all those doubts and adversity what gave you the heart and energy to wake up every morning and continue to train?
“I loved to train, it’s mentally challenging but I like leading or being amongst the leaders. I’m competitive; it’s fun.” – Haley Allen
If you can give one piece of advice to a HS athlete planning to compete at the collegiate level; what would it be?
"I'd say to keep your priorities straight, put the hard work into both the classroom and competition field. If there is anything you think you deserve, Speak up." -Haley Allen
